Yamazaki Baking releases New Confectionery Bread Called "Maritozzo" nationwide on June 1st

Yamazaki Baking Co. Ltd., headed by president Nobuhiro Iijima, released a new confectionery bread called "Maritozzo" nationwide on June 1st, which is based on the image of sweets originating in Rome, Italy. It is a product with plenty of whipped cream sandwiched in soft brioche.

By using plenty of egg yolk and kneading orange peel into the rich brioche dough, it has a refreshing aftertaste. In the whipped cream, Hokkaido cream is used and citrus flavor is added to give it a rich yet refreshing sweetness.

Yamazaki Baking says, "Recently, you can easily enjoy the sweets at home that are popular on social media and on TV. You can easily arrange them with your favorite fruits to make them look gorgeous."
