Major Flour Millers to Raise Prices of Wheat Flours for Commercial Use
| Major flour millers will raise the prices of wheat flours for commercial use. This is due to a 17.3% average increase in the government's selling prices of imported wheats from April 1. Nisshin Flour Milling Inc. will raise the price of bread flour by 370 yen per 25 kilograms, all-purpose and cake flour by 320 yen per 25 kilograms, and 100% domestic wheat flour by 385 yen per 25 kilograms. All price increases are exclusive of tax and will be effective on deliveries from June 20. Nippon Flour Mills Company Ltd. will raise the price of bread flour by 370 yen per 25 kilograms, all-purpose and cake flour by 320 yen per 25 kilograms, and 100% domestic wheat flour by 385 yen per 25 kilograms. All price increases are exclusive of tax and will be effective from June 20. Showa Sangyo Company Ltd., will raise the price of bread flour by 370 yen per 25 kg, all-purpose and cake flour by 325 yen per 25 kg, and 100% domestic wheat flour by 385 yen per 25 kg. The price increase will be effective for deliveries from June 20. |
