Japanese Major Flour Millers to Raise Prices of Wheat Flour for Commercial Use


Japanese major flour millers will raise the prices of wheat flour for commercial use in response to a 19% average increase in the government selling price of imported wheat from October 1.

Nisshin Flour Milling Inc. will raise the price of bread flour by 315 yen per 25 kilograms, all-purpose and cake flour by 345 yen per 25 kilograms, and 100% domestic wheat flour by 250 yen per 25 kilograms. All prices are exclusive of tax and will be effective from shipments on December 20.

Nippon Flour Mills Company Ltd. will raise the price of bread flour by 315 yen per 25 kilograms, all-purpose and cake flour by 340 yen per 25 kilograms, and 100% domestic wheat flour by 245 yen per 25 kilograms. All prices are exclusive of tax and will be effective from December 20.

Showa Sangyo Company Ltd., will raise the price of bread flour by 315 yen per 25 kilograms, all-purpose and cake flour by 345 yen per 25 kilograms, and 100% domestic wheat flour by 245 yen per 25 kilograms. All prices are exclusive of tax and will be effective from December 20.
