Frozen bread dough manufacturer ISM, headquartered in Osaka City, Osaka, and headed by president Kentaro Isami, is attracting attention for its frozen bread dough product "Dashi Shokupan 200." This frozen dough product consists of 30 200-gram dough balls of bread, seasoned by Japanese-style dashi soup. The bread baked from these frozen bread dough balls has a chunky texture favored by the Japanese people and is designed to taste good with both Japanese and Western food.
Recently, there have been a number of breads with "dashi" as a keyword, such as "Dashi Bread" by Boulangerie Parc-Shakujii, located in Nerima-ku, Tokyo, and "Dashi Shokuban", by Meshipan, located in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
ISM says, "The number of shops specializing in shokupan bread continues to increase nationwide, which has certainly increased the demand for shokupan bread, but under those circumstances, we recommended bakeries to differentiate themselves from other bakeries with our unique breads. We hope many bakeries will try our rare Japanese-flavored frozen dough balls, which is not likely to be available anywhere else in the market".
